NJACYF's advocacy efforts are focused on protecting and empowering the vulnerable and disadvantaged. This is accomplished by mobilizing resources, influencing public policy, and interacting with agencies whose responsibilities it is to serve the needs of vulnerable populations. A variety of means are employed to champion the rights of vulnerable children, youth, and adults including testifying before congress to influence public policy, using social media to network with a wider group of supporters, educating lawmakers and the public, writing op-ed pieces, and organizing member agencies and community members to speak out about impeding or current laws to improve legislation that may adversely affect NJ citizens.
